RESPONSE:
Thanks for that note. 
There are I submit, several problems with Vandana Shiva's approach.

This is now quite an old document, and certainly requires in part up-dating, especially with the parts to do with data on global warming. 

However, the core of the article - regarding the essential reactionary positions of Shiva & her affinities with Gandhism - are in my opinion still accurate. Also dealt with are the positions of Gail Omvedt & Marie Mies.
