As you notice, the theme of Fidel's remarks isn't announced, but
since we're in the midst of the struggle at Geneva, the fact that
he's speaking live is of great interest and will inevitably obtain
at least a small amount of international media coverage. You can
hear his speech live on the internet on several stations, but the
best will be www.radiorebelde.com.cu Fidel's been giving long and
important addresses on a number of recent occasions, perhaps most
prominently the one on March 8, International Women's Day. That
speech, which lasted a reported six hours, has also been played
again on Cuban TV and radio, most recently last night.

Fidel Castro to Address Cuban Political Leaders Thursday Evening

President's Speech Will be Broadcast Live

Havana, Mar 17 (Prensa Latina) Cuba´s President Fidel Castro will hold
a special meeting Thursday with Cuban politicians, social organization
representatives and members of the armed forces.

Granma daily briefly reported today the speech will be broadcast live
by local radio and TV, beginning at 18:00 local time (22:00 GMT).

Leaders from Cuba´s Communist Party, the Young Communist League,
representatives from grass-root organizations, and officers and
combatants from the Revolutionary Armed Forces and the Ministry of
Interior are among the participants.
