A crisis has erupted in the Australian Socialist Alliance three weeks
out from an important national decision-making conference.

A majority of the Non Aligned Caucus members on the Alliance national
executive have expressed sharp differences with the Democratic Socialist
Perspective, the dominant group in the Alliance.

An important force in forming the NAC was former DSP members still loyal
to the DSP, but these figures, such as Dave Riley and Andrew Watson,
have since resigned from the caucus.
