[Marxism] WWP does it again

Louis: "The left in the USA has to be united around the defense of
Venezuela, just as it should be around Iraq. When a single group arrogates
to itself the right to launch an initiative without the participation of
other left groups that are pro-Chavez..."

Funny, I wasn't aware that "Danny Glover, U.S. Rep. Jose Serrano, Ramsey
Clark, Noam Chomsky, Bishop Thomas Gumbleton, Howard Zinn, Rev. Lucius
Walker, Padre Luis Barrios, Peter Coyote, Marcia Campos, August Mintz, James
Cockcroft, James Petras and the Alberto Lovera Bolivarian Circle" were
members of the WWP.

The left in the USA certainly SHOULD be united around the defense of
Venezuela. And any part of the left is surely welcome to endorse this event
and build it as if it were its own. The literature
(<http://www.venezuelanov8.org/lit.shtml>) doesn't even mention the IAC OR
the WWP. The sectarian in this instance, Louis, is you, for instantly
adopting such a hostile attitude towards an event you should be embracing
wholeheartedly.

The idea that every event that occurs has to come out of some grand united
front meeting of the left deciding what to do next is a recipe for
paralysis. YOU, or any number of left groups based in New York, could have
called for a "meeting to plan the meeting" at any time; you (and they)
didn't. Check out the last national meeting of UfPJ for an example of such a
recipe in action (sorry, make that "inaction").
