[Comment: the size of this one plant is exactly the same as Diablo Canyon
Nuclear Power Plant, run by PG&E, in San Luis Obispo, CA. This plant saves,
says the the article, an additional 100,000 barrels of oil a day. Quite a lot.
The article also states that 75% of Venezuela's power comes from hydro. Green
power totally. The electrical load of Venezuela is approx. 17,000 MWs, or,
about 1/3 of the state of California.--David]

The 2160MW Caruachi hydroelectric plant, located in southeastern Venezuela, has
been officially inaugurated in a ceremony attended by government and business
leaders from many South American countries.
