But there have been no Christian theocracies since the rise of bourgeois 
democracy, has there? So this is a moot point. In challenging imperialism, 
Islam serves as a rallying point for the masses. There is no question about 
that. But scientific socialism and political Islam are mutually exclusive. 
It is literally impossible to conceive of a socialist revolution being led 
by Islamic clerics, no matter how militant they are on the question of 
resisting foreign occupation, etc. Do I have to explain why? I hope not.
