Let's get down to some practical politics....

I'd suggest that the government botching of Katrina gave the working 
class and the Left an immense political opening.  Is that correct?

I'd also suggest that the most well-organized elements of the working 
class and the Left simply made nio substantive practical response to 
Katrina.  Do you think that's correct?

If we're agreed on that, what SHOULD we have done?

I don't mean "what should we have SAID?" but "What should we have DONE?"
