There's quite a body of assessments of the Socialist Alliance available
online.

Prominent historian Humphrey McQueen's resignation was more succint: a
one-line message declining to renew his membership as he thought the
Socialist Alliance was dead. Apparently, not all members of the DSP know
about this yet, if a recent message on the Green Left site is typical.
