Jerry, are you aware of this history of this current? It was founded by
somebody named Gerry Healy who was in the habit of labeling his leftist
opponents as agents of the CIA, including Tim Wolforth who was his main
ally in the USA. While the WSWS has dispensed with the insanity that marked
this formation during the 1970s and 80s, it really has a sectarian approach
that might not be obvious in its frequently well-written and well-argued
articles, especially the film reviews by David Walsh.
But revolutionary politics is more than putting out a polished newspaper.
It involves working in the mass movement. On that score, the SEP simply
does not exist. It is not part of the antiwar movement. It has no
significant presence in the labor movement. It does not have any influence
in the Black and Latino struggles. Of course, I am speaking of the USA but
strongly suspect that this is the case for other countries as well.
