In regards to the conversation of the concept of the 'democratic
dictatorship of the peasantry and proletariat' (or is it the other way
around?), I was wondering to what extent did the Soviet Union return to
this conceptualization with the failure of the European revolutions and
the implementation of the NEP? To what extent does this concept inform
the ideas of Bukharin in particular in the twenties? It seems that
Deutscher is making an argument that this occurs in the Prophet Unarmed
(although he links it more with the neo-Narodnik concepts of the SRs).
