> I don't think "Israel is losing". Why would anyone say this?

Would the American Left be able to succesfully organize a
mobilisation of American citizens in New York City while, say,
Zapatista missiles fall on San Diego? And not get imprisoned? And
not get harassed, up to the point of lynching, by a mob of furious
full blue-red-and-white blooded Ammmmmericans?

Well, for the first time in history, mobilisations of Israelis (even
Israeli Jews) against an Israeli military action take place in Tel
Aviv while enemy fire falls on Haifa.

See what I mean?

This is why they _lost_. Every time the Zionist establishment gives
a further step towards a stronger military position, even if
succesful, it loses ground in the moral battle, and it has begun to
lose battles among a fraction of the Jewish population of Israel, no
less!

Don't answer me "But they are a few". Well, 2,000 people out of
3,000,000 are not too many but they are not so few either. And, look
at the issue with the NYC example in mind: nobody harasses them.
Those who would do it managed to murder an Israeli Prime Minister in
the Good Old Days, and the killer receives daily visits in his cell.

But they can't stop a peaceful mobilisation, now. Israel has lost in
the deepest military sense. Power is born in the machine gun. But
it is brains that wield machine guns.
