The Brooklyn Public Library has just put online the entire contents of the Brooklyn Daily Eagle from 1841-1902
  http://www.brooklynpubliclibrary.org/eagle/
At the search page I typed in John Brown, Debs, Lucy Parsons, Haymarket, and came up with dozens of articles on each. Just the word "strike" brought up hundreds of articles. (In the Debs case there was what appeared to be a transcript of an entire speech, including an explication of how technology had changed shoemakers' work and life.)
(Could someone forward this to whatever rad history lists they think should know about it?)
