Louis writes: "Despite its obvious cold war inspiration, 'A Journey of
Dmitri
Shostakovich,' directed by Okasana Dvornichenko and Helga Landauer,
is an excellent introduction to the great composer's life and career."

Another one from Louis's collection of movies that no one cares enough about
to pirate. Seriously, what has this got to do with the price of beans?
Soviet-style White European socialism is dead beyond any possible hope of
resurrection, no matter how many movie reviews get thrown at it, and good
riddance.

I would urge cultural critics on the list to engage with works that are
alive and vital in the 21st Century. Louis, why don't you take a look at
Ricardo Arjona's "Mojados" or "Si el Norte Fiera el Sur," they won't be
showing it to the New York Film Critics Circle or whatever its called,
they're just 5-minute music videos, but they are available all over the
Internet. And let the dead bury the dead.

Joaquín
