Though strictly accurate in the ad litteram translation, the whole 
set of agreements which gives air and birth to Mercosur is -in 
principle- a lot more than a common market. The name is in a sense a 
birthmark of the times in which the agreement was signed (the 
neoliberal "acmé" of our 90s)
