These animal bequests are interesting considering that I have heard only two 
rationales for the repeal of the dreaded "death tax."  The first is that unfortunate 
people -- usually farmers are mentioned -- must sell their family business to pay for 
the death tax (no one has yet located the farmer who had to do so); the other is to 
give people an incentive to work hard to help the descendents.
