Lueko Williams writes:

<< Abolishment of the formal Apartheid system was and is acceptable to
me, even when it did not move ahead to redistribute the land, even less
a socialist revolution, overturning capitalist private ownership and
control of the means of social production. It was an immense liberating
step forward for humanity. >>

This "immense liberating step forward" is a transition from state
directed capitalism of the white Afrikaaner state, built on the backs
of oppressed black labour in South Africa, to a neo-liberal capitalism
built on the further immiseration of the same black labour and the
integration of sub-saharan Africa, already devastated by 30 years
of neo-liberal rollback, into a semi-periphery for South African
capital. Your asinine rhetoric shows you know little and care even less
about the actual conditions endured by the mass of people living
under the neo-liberal and neo-colonial regimes for which you act
as volunteer cheerleader.

<< And she or he who cannot appreciate such historic steps forward for
human society is not worth using the word "socialist". >>

What really makes the word "socialist" not worth using is when it is
tacked at the end of a screed defending neo-liberalism and
neo-colonialism.
