[Marxism] The State of Official Marxism in China Today

This came to my attention on the Socialist Pakistan
News list,
and had been posted there by Tarooq Fariq, the General
Secretary
of the Labour Party Pakistan. While it dovetails with
the views
some on the left have that China is a capitalist
country, this
seems to illustrate that the process is far, far from
completed.
It also suggests that among participants in these
discussions,
none of the opposition comes from a revolutionary or
Marxist or
genuinely left-wing perspective...

[snip]

Walter, it is you who truncates "China is capitalist"
with "capitalist restoration is complete in China".
As far as I can tell the "China is capitalist" side of
the debate is talking about the Chinese state, not the
economy in its entirety or the relations of production
in their entirety.
