Not really. Mossadegh and Arbenz hadn't lost popular support.  They didn't 
do enough to mobilize it, but they weren't brought down due to its lack.

Yes, Marxists should be, need to be,  the first to separate and distinguish 
the source of and solution for immiseration from the appeals to the 
democrats of imperialism; and do so in order to supplant such appeals with a 
program for economic, social emancipation.
