That may not qualify as reformism, but taking the property of the bourgeois
and nationalizing
it isn't necassarily socialist, although it was obviously the correct first
step to take. i agree
with you on this point though.

The old ruling class is still
there and still rich, I dont see anything Chavez is doing as permanent. I
dont see how you can
progress to socialism through a benevolent elected, though hopefully he
inspires the poor to rise
up and proves me wrong. We'll see.

well, when you find someone who has done so, you make sure to tell them
that. I
simply made the point that being against US imperialism does not qualify as
socialism
and used the Taliban as an example. If you'd prefer to argue with a straw
man about that,
knock yourself out.
