[Marxism] Wny Cuba's dreams of major oil discoveries might come true

It probably doesn't hurt, but the senators from Exxon, Chevron, BP are not
leading this charge against the blockade-- legislators from farm and
manufacturing areas are leading this charge.

More oil is probably the least of the things involved in Cuba's current
attractiveness to the US, given the incredible overproduction of the
commodity, and the incredible overcapacity of the industry.

Expanding markets for exports is the driver here. Including the tourism
export markets-- hotels, real estate, travel. I can see the ads now. "Buy
a time-share where everything is shared. Rum, rhumba, revolution! Sun,
surf, socialism!"

I think the growing likelihood that Cuba will become significant or even
major oil producer has something to do with the signs that support in US
ruling circles for the blockade is now disintegrating rapidly.
