I would like to apologize to Ian for the use of the term "breast-beating 
liberalism"  Unnecessary and inaccurate.  I was over-incensed at the 
suggestion I was urging vigilante-ism, old Testament justice, or even the 
extradition of Polanski, none of which I advocated in anything I wrote.

This event should be seen for what it really is, or has become:  spectacle, 
entertainment.
