Well, their organization initiated the protest and was widely recognized 
as the leadership.

Actually, if McCarthy got the nomination, the protest would have been 
called off. This reflected the reformist orientation of groups like SANE 
and Women's Strike for Peace, as well as Gandhians like Dellinger. The 
protest was fueled by unhappiness that Humphrey would be the candidate. 
The disappointed youth threw a temper tantrum.

Don't you realize that when you use this kind of vituperation, it is a 
clear sign that you are losing an argument?
