TAX REVOLT DESTABILIZES GOVERNMENT IN BRITISH COLUMBIA

What were they thinking? Mere days after its re-election in May 2009,
the Liberal Party government of British Columbia announced a new
consumption tax that took effect on July 1, 2010 and will fleece an
estimated $1.9 billion from taxpayer pockets in the first year.
