1/2^8 assumes the probabilities are identical and unbiased for each trial.
However, I believe that 8 of the trials included the German flag, one of the
trials included both the German and the Spanish flag, and the last trial
included the Spanish flag.  Let's assume that the clever pulpo preferred the
Spanish flag to all others, and preferred the German flag next.,
Symbolically p(Spain)>p(Germany)>p(all others).  Then the odds of being
correct on all trials could be much greater than 0.003.
Just sayin'.
