Andrew: "I don't understand what you're saying re UNAC. Regardless, the only thing UNAC could and should have done, and did, was oppose our government's intervention in Libya. Within that united front we --SA -- explained why the grassroots uprising against Qaddafi was a legitimate part of the Arab Spring, and how it was being betrayed by the quislings who handed the revolution over to imperialism."
Thanks, Andrew, I am glad to know that perhaps I am just missing out on actions taking place. Although I would quibble with the idea that UNAC "could and should" only oppose intervention without calling for additional immediate actions, it's not a substantial issue if others have been organizing and UNAC members are a part. However, I do have to take issue with the idea that "quislings [have] handed the revolution over to imperialism" as if quislings seem to hold the masses on a leash and can just give it to NATO and the U.S. I would hope we could have a bit better analysis of this ongoing struggle that is not yet done than that. Why would we be so willing to accept (a) that the revolution is done because NATO and the U.S. are trying to usurp it and (b) that the masses, especially the armed portions of it are simply going to "roll over" and give it up? Such a view smacks of chauvinism at best.
