The egregious error in Dobbins' account is his statement that "Gaddafi
was also instrumental in killing AFRICOM." In fact, AFRICOM is alive
and well, and played an instrumental role in the NATO assault on
Libya:

I don't read Dobbins' article as aligning him with "the pro-Qaddafi
left," but we should at least be clear on what the imperialist
intervention comprised.

Dobbin, in your ill-informed article on Libya that appears on the 
weekend edition of Counterpunch, you make the same idiotic point about

Qaddafi's resistance to AFRICOM that has been made repeatedly there. I

have no idea why the pro-Qaddafi left insists on embarrassing itself
by 
circulating this falsehood but here is the historical record from the 
imperialists themselves.
