right, and he talks about how he was bullied by kids in school in the
early 60s for being a "commie" and how one of those kids later became
a Weatherman turned Obama liberal and how the differing evolutions of
the two of them show a great narrative of personal and political
courage on his part as opposed to the shallow conformism of that kid.
Yeah well, surely that other kid didn't know any better at the time,
but to say that Schwartz turning neo-con in the 80s-90s period shows
some kind of courage or non-conformism is a joke.  Like what stream
was that going against?  The kid who became an ultraleft/liberal may
have been influenced by some superficial trendy shit, but at least he
didn't turn into a shameless philistine apologist for the right wing.
