[Marxism] Ronald Fraser

A sad loss. BLOOD OF SPAIN is not only great history in its own right, but helped many of us navigate politically during the 1970s, by showing just how multifacted class war can be. Agree with them or not, the English have a feel for Spanish history, particularly the Civil War, no American can match. Think of Gerald Brennan's THE SPANISH LABYRINTH or even Hugh Thomas's THE SPANISH CIVIL WAR (written when he was still a Labourite, and not Lord Thomas).
