The purpose of the US military is determined by the holders of state power.
The winning of a revolution in this country will require, at a minimum, the
winning of the rank and file to the side of the revolution so I hope your
opposition to a trillion dollar defense budget means you also oppose
spending penny one on protective gear or health services for the working
class youth that sucked into becoming the cannon fodder of Camelot.
If you don't know already, you should learn more about the GI resistance
during the Vietnam War. The rulers were seriously worried about that. I've
heard the White House tapes.
