Lou, your argument is that one cannot take growth for
granted.  Even the mainstream is coming to the conclusion
that there are conditions making growth possible that we do
not understand very well.  What you should also have
mentioned, I think, is the impossibility of sustained growth
on a planed with finite resources.  This has huge
implications for Marxists: we have to campaign for living
better while producing and consuming fewer material goods.
