This response makes my point.  In the world in which I seem to be
trapped, the call for revolutionary unions--that is, a "real" union
that actually represents the best long term interests of the
workers--has no more value than that for a "real" socialist party or
labor party . . . or for a "real" "democratic-centralist" party.  I
certainly don't disparage any of this, but it's entirely abstract and
the arguments between them strike me as no more than duelling
vocabularies.

At this stage, though, I'd personally be tickled pink just to see some
American unions behaving like unions. :-)
