There has been a lot of talk about leaving the past imagery of upraised
fists, red flags and talk of revolutionary aims in the dustbin and either
renaming them to bring in a larger body of working class peoples or
re-imagining the concepts completely. I wonder if list members can tell me
what they think are the most important moves in this direction?

“a revolutionary career does not lead to banquets and honorary titles,
interesting research and professorial wages. It leads to misery, disgrace,
ingratitude, prison and a voyage into the unknown, illuminated by only an
almost superhuman belief.” *Horkheimer*
