Interesting to note that in French, the mother tongue of
revolutionaries for the past 224 years, the verb "intervenir" and the
noun "intervention" refer primarily to a speech in the context of a
debate or series of speeches. In a military-type context it applies
to military action (bombing, providing arms, sending troops in support
of one side or another in a conflict. Apostles of the "Bolshevik
Combat Party" model tend to confuse the two meanings of the word,
hoping that their routine practice of the first will somehow shed some
of the "glory" of the second on them.
This cosmos did none of gods or men make, but it
always was and is and shall be: an everlasting fire,
kindling in measures and going out in measures.
