True, and a bigger frontier, with a messy, democratic, country. Al-Qaeda
likes to launch some parties there and with that in mind, expanding
Iraq-style democracy to Syria is a nice ground to their activities. They'd
then gladly accept some chemical weapons and not attack their Saudi enemies
since they'd of course lose the access to their weapons. Besides, they'd be
given small range rockets and not too much Sarin.

BTW, if you check wikipedia, you'll see that its density is 10% less than
air, so if let it leak from the underground, it will slowly ascent. Which
explains that even an impure form of it can be speacially harmful:

So, an attack from bellow the ground, specially in narrow passages, will be
deadly, since it will slowly spread concentrate inside people's homes.
