First part of a seven part series a based on research of around 1000
WikiLeaks cables from the end of the Gutierrez administration onward, most
of which have not been reported on in the English-speaking press before.

Great expose of US interference and imperialist mindset -- after "their
man" Gutierrez is overthrown, their panic and urgency to "educate" (their
term) the new players... and then their panic when a "brass young radical"
called Rafael Correa becomes economics minister and proposes an agreement
with Venezuela to wipe Ecuador's debt.... and their determination to stop
Ecuador ending up in the "Chavez" camp....
