Assuming that John Bellamy Foster wrote this, it is rather pathetic
coming from an esteemed sociologist. He cites Pepe Escobar who is citing
the Judicial Watch website that put up a a national security report that
supposedly proved that the USA backed the growth of ISIS.

Does anybody who cites this report ever bother to read it to the conclusion?

1. THE DETERIORATION OF THE SITUATION HAS DIRE CONSEQUENCES ON THE IRAQI
SITUATION AND ARE AS FOLLOWS;

-1. THIS CREATES THE IDEAL ATMOSPHERE FOR AQI TO RETURN TO ITS OLD
POCKETS TN MOSUL AND RAMADI, AND WILL PROVIDE A RENEWED MOMENTUM UNDER
THE PRESUMPTION OF UNIFYING THE JIHAD AMONG SUNNI IRAQ AND SYRIA, AND
THE REST OF THE SUNNIS IN THE ARAB WORLD AGAINST WHAT IT CONSIDERS ONE
ENEMY, THE DISSENTERS. ISI COULD ALSO DECLARE AN ISLAMIC STATE THROUGH
ITS UNION WITH OTHER TERRORIST ORGANIZATIONS IN IRAQ AND SYRIA, WHICH
WILL CREATE GRAVE DANGER IN REGARDS TO UNIFYING IRAQ AND THE PROTECTION
OF ITS TERRITORY.

Somebody wake Foster up and let him know that when a national security
report describes the growth of jihadi groups like ISIS and al-Qaeda as
having "dire consequences" and posing a "grave danger" to Iraq, a state
that the USA is now deeply aligned with militarily in an assault on ISIS
in Mosul, he might think twice about lining up with a world-class
imbecile like Pepe Escobar.
