It seems to have come out of nowhere, much like the airport actions a
couple weeks ago, but experienced organizers jumped right in to maximize
its potential. And that potential appears to have been very widely realized.

By the way, the article Louis forwarded this morning about EPA civil
servants' job actions/lobbying must be seen as a complement to the
immigrant strike. Different workforce, type of organization, immediate
concerns - but part of the same burgeoning multi-issue Movement.
