[Marxism] An interview with YPG spokesman Nuri Mahmoud on Idlib

Let's just assume for the sake of argument that concretely speaking the YPG
cannot and should not open a military front against Assad, that doesn't
explain it not showing solidarity with the recent renewal of protests in
Idlib for instance. If the YPG is really socialist, feminist,
anti-authoritarian, etc., saying "These people are not terrorists, they are
freedom fighters like ourselves and it would be a crime against humanity to
launch a military assault on Idlib" would seem to me to be a bare minimum
of what any progressive or just decent person or group should say about
that. Has it or any affiliated body said anything like that? If not, then
case closed as far as I'm concerned. If you want to make a geopolitical
argument for all of this, fine, but then you don't also get to claim them
as progressive revolutionaries.
