I think for a short period of time (in the 1920s??), the South African
Communist Party adopted a slogan, "Workers Unite and Fight for a White
South Africa" --- this was in partial reaction to the Smuts government
shooting down striking white miners ---

(don't know when they changed their "line" ....certainly they did after
1948 but probably sooner ....)
