The article is no doubt correct, but on the other hand, I think it would be fair to say that young boomers were substantially involved in 1970s labor struggles such as the wildcat at Dodge Truck in 1974, or the 1972 Lordstown Strike.  A few authors have pointed out that it wasn't until "the 70s" that "the 60s" had reached the industrial working class, and it's undoubtedly the case that many of those workers were young boomers.
Generational distinctions are sort of arbitrary and meaningless anyway.
