> SADS Mission: To save the lives of children and young adults who are
> susceptible to sudden death due to cardiac arrhythmias. SADS provides
> education and support to patients and families who are dealing with

> disorders. We also distribute educational materials to hospitals,

> centers, health care clinics, schools and libraries and sponsor
> educational
> programs for physicians and healthcare providers nationwide to raise
> awareness about the symptoms of LQTS and how to prevent and treat it.

> SADS is a small nonprofit with a national/international scope. We have

> multiple volunteers across the country (for example: 65 National
Contact
> Volunteers) and are actively growing both our current programs and new

> Primary duties and responsibilities
> The Program Director is responsible for leadership and vision in
program
> conceptualization, design, planning, management, coordination,
> communication, and evaluation. She/he will be a global thinker with
> demonstrated ability to develop and implement programs that have great

> impact. Our programs currently include: Awareness, Family/Patient
> Support,
> Advocacy and Medical Professional Education.

> §       Develop, market, implement, and administer programs, to
include:

> outcomes, goals and objectives; program services; program evaluations
> §       Recruit, train & utilize volunteers in all programs
> §       Communicate regularly with volunteers, professionals, partner
> organizations, etc. who are involved with programs
> §       Participate in the management team to develop strategic plans,

> plans and raise money for SADS programs

> Essential to this position
> §       Prior organizational and/or project leadership experience
> §       Strong teaching/facilitation background
> §       High degree of creativity, enthusiasm, passion, and integrity
> §       High level of initiative, energy, common sense, emotional
maturity and
> intelligence
> §       Ability and experience with coalition-building, working
> collaboratively
> and community-building long distance
> §       Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task

> Bachelor’s degree required. This is a full-time position. Salary
