The following are the primary responsibilities of this position:
The Development Director is responsible for coordinating and planning
development activities, prospecting gift and grant opportunities,
coordinating grant proposals and pertinent follow-up reporting.
The Development Director will:
- Write and submit grant proposals.
- Prospect grant opportunities, track grant deadlines, and meet grant
submittal and post-grant report deadlines.
- Maintain communication of development activities and progress to
Executive Director and HWI staff.
- Establish and implement an annual development calendar and strategy
(working with the Executive Director, HWI staff, and Development
- Corporation and foundation grants
- Business support (members, donations of goods & services,
- Individual giving
- Special appeals
- Special events
- Planned gifts
- Maximize return from charitable giving sources including the
Combined Federal Campaign, appropriate state campaigns, and the United
- Assist the Executive Director with other fundraising and
administrative duties as needed.
- Work with the Executive Director and Membership Director to produce
and maintain communication materials for effective fundraising and
development (e.g. brochures, direct-mail pieces, etc.).

The Salt Lake Community Action Program is accepting applications for:
Janitor/Maintenance at SLCAP Administration building. Full Time (40
hrs weekly) with full benefits. Pay rate $8.30 hourly.

Be able to lift 50 lbs. Custodial work and general maintenance

opening for Chore Crew Leader. This is a full-time job for the summer
fall. Starting pay is $6.94 per hour. Since this is a temporary
position, there are no benefits.
Job duties include supervision of two to three crews of at-risk youth
and/or volunteers as they perform lawn mowing and yard clean-up for
disabled clients. The Chore Crew Leader works with the crew and is
responsible for driving the crews to the job sites, ensuring safety
practices are followed,
training and motivating the crew members and interacting with the
clients in a courteous and professional manner. Applicants should have
