Providence City, a northern Utah community of approximately 5,000
residents, is accepting applications for the position of City
General duties include a variety of professional, administrative and
managerial duties related to directing, organizing and controlling the
administrative processes necessary to carry out the efficient and
economic operation of the city. In cooperation with city officials and
appointed boards and committees, duties will also include leading
efforts to efficiently plan for future physical and economic growth of
the city. The City Manager/Planner will work under the supervision and
guidance of the governing body of Providence City. This is an appointed,
exempt position, serving at the pleasure of the governing body.
Minimum qualifications are:
1. Graduation from a four-year college or university with a degree in
business, public administration, urban planning or related fields
(masters degree preferred)
2. Five years of progressively responsible experience in municipal
3. Two years of relevant experience with a government agency or private
4. An equivalent combination of education and experience.
