  Job Title:   Day Services Coordinator
  Department:   Day Services
  Reports To:   Executive Director
  FLSA Status:   Exempt
  Schedule:  Monday-Friday 8-4
  Salary:   Negotiable

  Education/Experience Requirements:
  Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; and
five years related experience and/or training.

  Essential Duties of Position:
  Supervises and trains assigned Day Services Program Coordinators and
Program Specialists.
  Reviews petty cash on a quarterly basis for each department.  Assist
in creating the yearly budget for all day departments.
  Conduct intake of new day training participants.
  Ensure that information is sent to Division of Services for People
with Disabilities in a timely manner such as support strategies,
incident reports, and monthly   progress notes.
  Conducts random file audits to assure compliance with procedures
established by regulatory agencies.
  Assists with ongoing development of all day programs. Assures that all
day programs are addressing the needs of the individuals.
  Assists in development of quality assurance plan for the Work Activity
Center.
  Oversee the development of programmatic forms.
  Assure that all day training staff members adhere to Division of
Services for People with Disabilities and Center Policies and
Procedures.
  Actively promotes the Work Activity Center at community events (agency
fairs and other provider events).
  Responds to staffing issues and assists in implementation of staff
training, evaluation, and mentoring programs.
  Serves as acting Executive Director in the absence of the Executive
Director.

  Supervisory Responsibilities

  Manages 5-10 subordinate supervisors who supervise a total of 75-100
employees in the Day Programs. Is responsible for the overall direction,
coordination, and evaluation of these departments. Also directly
supervises one non-supervisory employee. Carries out supervisory
responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and
applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and
training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work;
  appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees;
addressing complaints and resolving problems.

  Education and/or Experience

  Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; and
two to five years related experience and/or training.

  Essential Duties of Position:
  Identifies, researches, and secures corporate, foundation, and
government sources of funding.
  Researches funding source proposal requirements and submittal
deadlines and maintains report deadline calendar.
  Gathers and maintains current files on institutional programs and
projects.
  Writes, edits, and proofreads proposals and reports to corporate,
foundation, and government funds.
  Coordinates preparation, assembly, and delivery of proposal documents.

  Tracks status of proposals and follows up to provide additional
information as required by funding sources.
  Complies and analyzes information about potential contributors to
develop mailing or contact lists and to plan selling approach.
  Writes, telephones, or visits potential contributors and persuades
them to contribute funds or gifts in-kind by explaining purpose and
benefits of fund raising program.
  Takes pledges or funds from contributors.
  Records expenses incurred and contributions received.
  Organizes and plans social functions to raise funds.
  Prepares fund raising brochures for mail-solicitation programs.
  Trains volunteers to perform certain duties to assist fundraising.
