Staff Auditor I: $35,651 ANNUAL SALARY (Step 49). Utah State

Performs professional entry level auditing duties for financial and
compliance audits of state departments and agencies and institutions of
higher education; audits fiscal practices to assure conformity to fiscal
policies; analyzes and determines the effectiveness of internal control
procedures; verifies deposits of monies and examines reports; and audits
agency payrolls to determine correctness of records. Desired
Preferences: Preference given for Master's Degree in accounting,
finance, or business administration with an undergraduate degree in

Consumer Protection Investigator II Two full time permanent positions
with benefits. $14.96 - $23.73 (step range 44 - 61). Department of
Commerce, Division of Consumer Protection, SLC. Conducts investigations
of alleged violations of consumer fraud statutes; conducts analysis of
financial data, accounting systems and records; conducts interviews and
takes statements from witnesses; verifies that consumer transactions
comport with state and federal laws; prepares case reports to be
presented to state, federal or county attorneys for criminal, civil or
administrative action; acts as case agent and witness as well as
litigation supports in legal actions resulting from cases investigated;
manages complex cases from inception to final disposition; ability to
communicate effectively in oral and written form; effective interviewing
principles, methods and techniques; and ability to testify as to
investigative findings are important to this position. Preference may be
given to candidates with a Bachelors Degree in behavioral sciences,
criminal justice or police science, public administration, consumer
protection law or related fields; excellent computer skills and/or
knowledge of the state legislative process. JOB REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS:
Experience in investigations, consumer protection law, regulatory
enforcement, licensing or related areas. Good customer service skills

WORKFORCE SERVICES

Program Specialist - DWS Job # 03-239 Salary $13.79 - $23.09 hour (Step
41 - 60). Department of Workforce Services, Office of Child Care (OCC),
Salt Lake City. The incumbent will serve as the statewide tri-anchor in
the implementation and interpretation of the Environmental Rating Scales
(ERS). Conducts on-site ERS visits and training; assists in the
monitoring of contracts to insure agreements are met and quality
improvements are being measured according to the OCC goals. Interacts
with members of the child care community to educate and advocate for the
use of the ERS, its functions and application. Assist in the creation
and implementation of new programs. Collaborates with the other OCC
staff to achieve OCC goals and objectives. The person must be a self
starter and be able to do some statewide travel. JOB
REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS: Knowledge of child care best practices, ability to
interact and meet with individuals and groups to address and resolve
issues and problems. Written and verbal communication skills, computer
skills, training and presentation skills, ability do multiple tasking.
PERFERENCE: Bachelor's degree in early Childhood Education or related
field; demonstrated knowledge and experience in child development best
