Epidemiologist I (Health Program Specialist III) (Schedule AL -
"At-will" with benefits) - Salary: $17.14 - $27.18 hourly (Step: 49-66).
Department of Health - Division of Epidemiology and Laboratory Services,
Disease and Outbreak Management Program - Price (serving Tri-County and
Southeast Districts). Surveillance and reporting of diseases and
conditions. Analyze surveillance data to identify outbreaks,
characterize trends and target interventions. Provide epidemiologic
consultation and technical expertise to local health departments,
physicians, laboratories and the public. Conduct disease interviews and
outbreak investigations. Provide education, training and consultation to
infection control practitioners, MDs, RNs, law enforcement and others

Epidemiologist II (Health Program Manager I) (Schedule AL - "At-will
w/benefits) Salary: $19.10 - $30.29 hourly (Step: 53-70) - Department of
Health, Division of Community and Family Health Services, Asthma Program
- SLC. Direct a statewide surveillance system to monitor the disease
burden of asthma in Utah. Design, manage and analyze studies to
determine the morbidity and cost due to asthma. Integrate and coordinate
multiple epidemiologic sources of asthma data. Utilize epidemiologic
data to guide and evaluate public health interventions to reduce asthma
morbidity. Develop and coordinate asthma specific epidemiologic training
for local health departments and other providers. Provide
epidemiological consultation to other Utah Department of Health
programs, other agencies and the public. Write reports and grant
applications. Recommend and monitor aspects of the surveillance budget.
Act as lead for planning and coordinating the assessment and use of
various types of genomics and family history tools to obtain and
organize population based information about heritable factors. Work
closely with other Department of Health epidemiologists and outside
partners in developing methods to incorporate genomic and family history
tools into surveillance and registry systems. JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Administration, Finance Management group. This is a full-time, career
position with benefits. The incumbent enters all revenue received; sees
that the distribution of royalties on leased trust lands are processed
correctly; maintains PEN (well) information on computer; applies
appropriate agency and state policies to work; verifies and edits
information and audits reports daily. Works with companies leasing trust
lands by verifying information and data entering all payments received.
Data enters reconciliation reports. SKILLS: General accounting skills
including the use of ten-key. The ability to work with excel
spreadsheets, good communication skills and familiarity using computer
programs is required. The ability to verify and deal with details is
