  Utah Domestic Violence Council - Domestic Violence Training Coordinator

PURPOSE: Provide training coordination in the area of domestic violence 
including establishment of relationships with training entities, 
maintaining a statewide domestic violence training calendar (by 
discipline/population), staff the UDVC Training Committee, perform 
ongoing development and maintenance of the UDVC web site for computer 
based training, coordinate domestic violence training with DV 
Coordinators statewide and represent UDVC as the contact person for DV 
training in Utah.


          * Identify and create collaborative relationships with
            entities currently providing domestic violence training in Utah
          * Identify and create collaborative relationships with
            entities who provide services for individuals impacted by
            domestic violence and who may benefit from or participate in
            domestic violence trainings within their communities
          * Work closely with UDVC committees to ensure that the
            training needs for the various disciplines are being addressed
          * Partner with and observe existing trainings for content,
            quality and feedback purposes
          * Develop, present and evaluate curriculum as identified by
            the UDVC Training Committee
          * Needs Assessment
            Work with the UDVC Training Committee to identify domestic
            violence training needs to include: unmet needs, ongoing
            needs and gaps in domestic violence training in Utah
          * Strategy Development
            Work with the UDVC Training Committee to develop strategies
            for meeting identified training needs in Utah

Minimum Requirements:

    * Bachelor's Degree and/or four years of experience in training and
    * Experience in curriculum development
    * Five years of domestic violence issue work preferred
    * Fluent in English and one other language preferred
    * Competent organizational skills
    * Competent computer skills to include familiarity with web site
      development/maintenance, EXCEL, PowerPoint, and Publisher
    * Must possess a valid driver's license
    * This position will require travel

Salary range: $12.00 - $16.00 per hour plus benefits-part time position, 
25 hours a week

Indian Walk-in Center - Community Health Nurse Manager

This is a 30 hour exempt position.


    * Promote the Center's Mission to aid and assist American Indian
      people; promote and provide health and behavioral health services;
      strengthen families and community with respect to cultural values
      and heritage
    * Prioritize patient needs and develop a plan to address identified
      needs by implementing a client intake process to collect
      information for assessment purposes, and to determine outpatient
      treatment plans based upon medical assessments
    * Provide case management services in collaboration with IWIC Health
      Program team members, direct service providers, and referral
      agencies in order to ensure the patient's well being
    * Provide culturally sensitive case management services to American
      Indian/Alaskan Native (AI/AN) populations
    * Provide preventative and other appropriate health related education
    * Refer clients to appropriate community services
    * Assist other team members in the performance of their assignments
      to include acting as a resource with staff regarding the intake,
      referral and treatment processes, including direct involvement
      with the daily operations of the IWIC Health Programs
    * Provide ongoing assistance, follow-up and support to patients
      throughout the process of meeting patient needs
    * As directed, represent the agency at community resource meetings
      which includes coordinating and promoting communication among
      various providers, subcontractors, partner agencies and other
      community organizations
    * Provide accurate and timely documentation of services, including
      oversight of data collection and preparation of reports
    * Participate in quality assurance activities to include identifying
      the educational and staff development needs of the Health Program
    * Work closely with Health Director regarding daily operations to
      ensure on-going development of health services according to client
    * Accept new responsibilities and duties as directed by the
      Health/Behavioral Health Director, and/or the Executive Director


    * Registered Nurse with a minimum three years experience
    * Minimum of two years experience working in community clinics,
      public health facilities or equivalent
    * Must possess current Registered Nursing License with the State of
    * Must be sensitive to and familiar with the health care, cultural,
      and current issues specific to AI/AN clients, including the
      special needs of low income and disenfranchised urban Indian
    * Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) is preferred; otherwise, upon
      hiring, it is expected that a CDE will be obtained as a short-term
      (priority) performance objective
    * Current certification in Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS/CPR).
      Certification in Advanced
    * Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is preferred
    * Ability to work as a team with coordinators, supervisors, and
      other staff members
    * Possess excellent interpersonal communication skills
    * Ability to handle stressful situations and resolve problematic
    * Experience and familiarity with federal grant and contract
      compliance and reporting preferred
    * Direct experience working with AI/AN individuals and families is
      highly desirable
    * Must complete a thorough Criminal Background Check
    * Current valid Utah driver's license

STARTING SALARY RANGE: $35,000 to $42,000 plus an excellent benefits package
