1. Utah Nonprofits Association - Membership & Training Coordinator

(Please note that Jolaine and Megan will be staying with the University
of Utah when UNA moves. This is a new position)

Position Responsibilities:
Training Coordination, Record Keeping, Data Management, Publications,
Website Support, General Office Support
     Maintain training schedule & coordinate refreshments at events
     Perform on-site registration at events, including off-site events
as needed
     Maintain and update registration records, attendance sheets, record
of training hours
     Maintain membership database and prepare and send out membership
renewal notices & renewal information
     Update database with new member information
     Assist in receiving payments and follow-up on nonpaying clients
     Update Training Calendar and Jobs pages on UNA website, and send
out appropriate weekly e-mails to UNA e-mail list
     Provide first line of contact for visitors to UNA office
     Answer incoming phone calls to UNA office
     Prepare and make bank deposits
     Other duties as assigned

Required Skills:
     High level of organization, integrity and dependability
     Interest in the nonprofit sector and meeting the needs of UNA's
members and constituents.
     Good telephone and communications skills
     Accuracy in data entry and reporting
     Some knowledge of web design and HTML code, or willing to learn
     Knowledge of software programs: Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint,
Dreamweaver, FilemakerPro (database program)
     Interest in and knowledge of publication design and production

Salary: Commensurate with experience.
Part-time: 32 hours per week
Closing date: August 15, 2005, interviews to take place after that date.

Position Title:  Full-Time Fire Chief

This is an appointed position.
II. Summary Statement of Overall Purpose/Goal of Position:
Under the general supervision of the Chief of Staff and the Mayor, plans
directs, manages, and oversees the activities and operations of the Fire
Department including fire suppression, fire prevention, hazardous
materials response, disaster preparedness, and related programs,
services, and operations; coordinates assigned activities with other
departments and outside agencies, and provides highly responsible
administrative support to the Chief of Staff.

I. Position Title:  Police Chief

This is an appointed position.
II. Summary Statement of Overall Purpose/Goal of Position:
Under the strategic direction of the Chief of Staff and Mayor,
individual supervises all law enforcement and animal control activities
in the City.  Performs professional, administrative and managerial
duties related to planning, organizing, directing, and coordinating the
enforcement of federal, state and local laws as needed to preserve the
peace and protect citizen rights and property.  Manages implementation
of specialty programs, i.e., D.A.R.E., Neighborhood Watch, etc.
