Salary: ( 004 ) $ 72,000- $92,000 ( Yearly)

Starting Salary: $72,000 to 92,000 plus Executive Benefits

Salt Lake City municipal government seeks a seasoned, progressive
individual to manage the Citys human resources programs for a workforce
of 3,000 union and nonunion employees. Oversees a staff of sixteen in
recruitment and selection, classification and compensation, employee
benefits, employee relations, HR consultation, EEO/AA, and training
Prefer a Masters Degree in Public Administration, Human Resources,
Business Administration or related field plus a minimum of six (6) years
full time paid employment managing a corporate human resources
operation, which must include a minimum (2) years supervision of a
professional human resources staff. Education and experience may be
substituted one for the other on a year for year basis, with the
exception of the two years supervisory experience, for a total of 12
Essential to success in position is the ability to establish and
maintain effective professional working relationships with elected
officials, department heads and employees as well as the ability to
effectively problem solve, build consensus among competing interests and
promote workforce diversity.
Strong human relations and leadership skills required.
