WORK LOCATION: 2001 SOUTH STATE
RECRUITMENT PERIOD: 12/01/06 TO 12/08/06
SALARY: $78,552/YR. Plus a comprehensive
benefits package.

Assists the Administrative Services Department Directors in planning, 
directing, coordinating and evaluating the various components of the 
department. Provides
advice and guidance to Division Directors and other senior management 
staff on a variety of policy, management or technical issues. 
Establishes and maintains
effective relationships with elected officials, department directors and 
division directors to encourage communication and feedback regarding 
service delivery
and associated costs. Plans and participates in regular meetings with 
County, public and private entities that interact with the 
Administrative Services divisions
to identify and resolve problems, coordinate programs and services, 
obtain resources, etc. Plans, coordinates, directs and evaluates the 
work of various
committees and task forces developed to address specific needs within 
the department. Assists in developing and implementing policies and 
procedures,
goals and objectives for the operation of the Department including 
monitoring and evaluating Division performance, coordinating personnel, 
planning,
budgeting, contracting, fiscal management and service delivery. Assists 
in coordinating intergovernmental relations. Coordinates and assists 
with the
development of the Department’s annual budget. Analyzes resources and 
makes recommendations to the Department Director in an effort to maximize
efficiency of Support service functions. Supervises assigned staff 
either directly or through subordinate supervisors. Performs other 
related duties as assigned.
PREFERRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a master’s 
degree in Public Administration, Business Administration or other closely
related fields plus four (4) years of experience in a field closely 
related to these duties; OR an equivalent combination of related 
education and
experience.
